Island Systems


Island photovoltaic systems are designed to provide energy for holiday homes, camping trailers, mountain chalets, cottages, base stations, and all objects/buildings that cannot be connected to the public distribution network or in cases where it would be too costly.

An island system consists of the following components:
  • photovoltaic modules,
  • substructure (module supports),
  • charging regulator,
  • DA/AC converter (inverter),
  • and a battery.


Operation of an Island System


During the day, the PV modules charge the solar batteries that store electricity via the charging regulator, thus storing electricity. The DC/AC converter inverts the stored electricity and makes it user-friendly (230 V).

The entire system (battery level, inverter condition, charging, etc.) can be monitored on your personal computer.

Island systems are increasingly being used as a solution for an independent supply of energy to individual houses and other smaller buildings. The most important factors in designing an island system are the operating mode and the power per individual consumer. The size of the generator, the power of the inverter and the number of batteries are all specific to the requirements of the consumers, who will be supplied by such a system.
